The maximum load of Khuzestan power network at 4:00pm on 30/5/80(21 Aug. 2001) has been equal to 3147(MW) and 1444(MW) and equal to 3462MVA which in comparison with 1379(2000) indicates an increase of 7.4 percent . Khuzestan power network having a 14.4 percent share of the maximum simultaneous load of the whole country(21853 MW) takes the second rank of the country load after Tehran.
Table(11) offers the maximum load and annual average load growth changes in 1380(2001) in comparison with 1357(1978) , as well as the average growth of load during 5 year-period of this time.
The existence of some big industries such as Khuzestan steel industry and the intense increase in electrical cooling systems consumption in summer are the main reasons for the increase of simultaneous load.

The separation of maximum power load of industry from city sectors and other types of consumption reveals that 39.7 percent of the total Khuzestan net load is allotted to industrial client needs . As a result , in Khuzestan network , in order to improve the operational conditions , it is necessary to manage the amount of load and decrease it by controlling the load consumption via attracting the cooperation of big industries . This amount reached 98(MW)in 1380(2001) which should be added to the previous amount of peak load.

Table(13) offers the frequency distribution of the synchronal peaking in Khuzestan power network during 1357-1380(1978-2001).
According to this table , maximum frequency of the synchronal peaking belongs to Tir(Jun-Jul) and Mordad(Jul-Aug) . On the other hand , the sequence of synchronal peaking in Mordad(Jul-Aug) is more than Tir(Jun-Jul) . So in Tir(Jun-Jul) and Mordad(Jul-Aug) the peak load consumption occurs and on these days ,(21st-31st Tir)(12th-22nd Jul) , the probability of occurrence of peak load consumption is larger . Maximum non-simultaneous load of Khuzestan network in 1380(2001) have been equal to 3245(MW) and 3569(MVA) .
