During 1373-1379 (
1994-2000 ) , Khuzestan net-load boosted from 1977( MW ) to 2931( MW ) by
the annual average growth of 6.3 percent and powerplants installed
capacity boosted from 2783( MW ) to 3828( MW ) by a growth of 37.4 percent
.
Through the establishment of 28 new transmission and subtransmission
sub-station , total number of transmission and sub-transmission
sub-stations rose to 118 , and the total capacity of subtransmission
sub-stations boosted from 8575( MVA ) to 12391( MVA ) by 36.3 percent ,
and the length of transmission and suntransmission lines expanded from
3778 km/circuit to 4923km/circuit by 23 percent.
In the distribution sector , the number of installed transformers rose
from 17056 units to 21533 units by 23 percent . The installed capacity of
these transformers boosted from 4419( MVA ) to 5719( MVA ) by 30 percent ,
and the length of low and medium lines expanded from 18413( km ) to 23501(
km ) by 23.7 percent .
The total number of clients rose from 609800 ( client ) to 758327 by 24.4
percent , the number of power supplied to villages rose from 3062 (
villages ) to 4460( villages ) , agrowth of 46 percent . The number of
power supplied households in villages grew from 163768( households ) to
248562 , a growth of 52 percent .
In 1380( 2001 ) , the comprehensive effort of KWPA continued , so that :

- The operation of more than 17 projects of 132 , 230 and 400KV lines and
sub-staions , ( and the ) establishment of total 288 lm/circuit and
installation of 413 MVA capacity in sub-station .
