1380(2001) ended successfully , the main aspects of which are listed in Table(68) . Now at the threshold of the third year of the third development plan , we take a short look at the future of power industry to the end of the fourth development plan in 1388(2009) :

During the third and fourth development plan , and by the end of 1388(2009) , 8540MW will be added to the current power of Khuzestan network powerplants , 7416MW of this amount belongs to the big plans of hydro-electric powerplants , 630MW belongs

to the development plan of the 7th and 8th units of Ramin thermal powerplant and the remaining 494MW belongs to installation of 4 gas units of Abadan . So by considering the powerplant underway projects , the total generation capacity of Khuzestan powerplant will reach to 12369MW by the end of the fourth development plan.
